Question 12. What is the difference between an 'Adjective' and an 'Adverb'. Define at least. With one example of each

Answer: Difference between an 'Adjective' and An 'Adverb'-An adjective qualifies a noun or a pronoun while an adverb qualifies a verb.
For Example-
Rani is the fairest girl in my class.
Go quickly otherwise you should miss the train.
In the first example fairest is the adjective and in second example quickly is an adverb.

Question 17. Write a composition on 'My Ideal Teacher' In about 50 words. Points are given below to develop it: (i) Introduction (ii) His education (iii) Nature and behaviour (iv) His teaching skills and hobbies (v) Conclusion

Answer: "My Ideal Teacher"

  • (i) Introduction- An ideal teacher is one who loves to learn and to teach. She is devoted to his work. Mr. Sandhya Maurya is such a teacher. She is my Favorite teacher. She is my class teacher also.
  • (ii) His Education- She is An M.A., M.Ed. in English language. She is expert teacher. She is the master of her subject. Everyone praises his teaching method. Every student understands it easily.
  • (iii) Nature and Behaviour- Mr. Sandhya is a women of pleasing habits. I have never seen him angry. She does not Scold anyone. She is honest, sincere and hard working.
  • (iv) His Teaching Skills and Hobbies- She teaches us English. She pronounces the words correctly. Every student of my class pronounces correctly word. Her's interesting game carrom board.
  • (v) Conclusion- We are proud of having such an ideal teacher. I want to god she may live long.

Question 18. Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions based on it: At Shantiniketan, classes are held in the open air. The students sit on the ground under the trees and listen to their teacher. They often act plays they have written themselves and very often the plays written by Rabindrnath Tagore. The place fills anyone with peace and quiet. The place fills anyone with peace and quiet. The meaning of the word Shantiniketan is 'abode of peace' It is one of the best places of learning in India.
